Scope:

In this ambitious project, the primary goal was to harness the power of Azure Data Factory to create a seamless data integration pipeline. The project aimed to extract data from Deltek Vantage Point, a crucial data source, and funnel it into the Azure SQL Database. Key components included configuring the ODBC driver, mapping columns accurately, implementing an incremental update strategy, and developing insightful dashboards.

Design Steps:

Data Source Connection: The project data source is a secure and efficient connection between Azure Data Factory and Deltek Vantage Point. It includes Configurations tuning and ensuring connection security. ODBC driver has been used to ensuring smooth data transmission between the two platforms.

Column Mapping: Meticulous column mapping was undertaken to ensure that each data element from Deltek Vantage Point found its rightful place within the Azure SQL Database. This precise mapping ensured that no critical information was lost or misaligned during the data transfer.

Incremental Update Strategy: To maintain data pipeline efficiency and accuracy, an incremental update strategy has been implemented. This approach allows the pipeline to identify and capture only new or modified data, ensuring that the Azure SQL Database remains current without processing redundant information.

Implementation Details:

With the data pipeline in place, informative dashboards are created . These dashboards will serve as a powerful tool for gaining insights into the organization's projects, clients, departments, Accounts Receivables, and aging Accounts Receivables.

Project Dashboards: Leveraging the Azure SQL Database as the primary data source, the team has designed project dashboards offering a comprehensive view of projects, categorizing them by clients and departments. These dashboards provide valuable insights into the company's project landscape.

Accounts Receivables Dashboard:One of the pivotal dashboards focused on aging Accounts Receivables. It acted as a vigilant guardian, enabling the finance department to monitor outstanding payments diligently. This dashboard facilitated effective resource allocation and debt collection.

Financial Health Dashboard: Another dashboard provided a broader perspective on Accounts Receivables, shedding light on trends and the overall financial health of the organization.
